OUR HOME ORGANISING SERVICE

SECTION 1 - WORKING HOURS

Make Room UK conducts virtual or over the phone consultations before planning your sessions. In-home consultations are available at a cost dependent on location. While we provide estimated session hours, every project is unique, and some projects may require more time than anticipated. Typically, a session spans a day (7 hours) and includes two organisers, after this a charge of £50 per hour per organiser applies. We will let you know when the time is up and get permission before continuing with the project.

During our decluttering sessions we prioritise working at your comfortable pace, understanding the physical and emotional challenges that decluttering can entail. You're welcome to take breaks whenever needed, but please note that these breaks will be included in the overall session duration. If the session coincides with meal times, our organiser’s may take a break of up to 45mins, which will not be billed to you. We will coordinate this arrangement with you before the session begins to ensure you are aware of the timings.

Additional organisers are available at an extra charge. Our working hours are from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday to Sunday. We also offer services on bank holidays and after hours, subject to an additional fee.​

SECTION 2 - ACCESS

To ensure a smooth process, please ensure there is easy access both outside and inside your home.
For safety reasons, we do not handle or move furniture. If the working area is
deemed unsafe, Make Room UK reserves the right to cancel the session without refund.

SECTION 3 - DECLUTTERING GUIDANCE

At Make Room UK, we respect your decisions regarding the items you wish to keep. We offer guidance during the decluttering process, but the final decision rests entirely with you. Make Room UK cannot be held liable for any possessions or items that have been discarded.

SECTION 4 - PURCHASE & RETURN OF PRODUCTS

Make Room UK will procure organisation products on your behalf upon receipt of your deposit. Any sourced products will be invoiced at their retail price. Full price products used from makeroomuk.com will be subjected to a 10% discount, already discounted items not eligible. If you find any product unsatisfactory, please inform us within 14 days, we gladly facilitate its return and provide a refund depending on condition. Assembled items cannot be returned, and refunds will not be issued for such products.

SECTION 5 - REMOVAL OF POSSESSIONS

We encourage responsible disposal methods, such as recycling and donations. While we can handle the disposal of smaller items, however larger items or many items this becomes your responsibility, this will be discussed in the consultation. If you need help disposing of your items Make Room UK can arrange collection for an additional fee. We work with a number of charity partners, if you would like
to donate items to a charity of your choice this will be your responsibility. Disposal will not take place without your authorisation.​

SECTION 6 - PRODUCTS ASSEMBLY

We can assemble small items, but for larger furniture pieces, we collaborate with a handyman, which involves an additional fee. Once items have been assembled they cannot be returned or refunded.

SECTION 7 - THIRD PARTY RECOMMENDATIONS

While we may recommend third-party products and services, we cannot be held responsible for their
outcomes or quality.

SECTION 8 - CLEANING

Please note that Make Room UK does not provide cleaning services. If you require this we can
recommend.

SECTION 9 - TRAVEL COSTS

Our services include travel costs within London zones 1-6 or within a 15 mile radius from E18. Outside these areas, additional travel expenses and fees will be discussed and agreed upon before the session. Congestion, ULEZ and parking charges will also apply.

SECTION 10 - PAYMENT TERMS

A 50% upfront payment is required to confirm your session date. Session dates are held for 7 calendar days from when the estimate is sent. The balance will be invoiced after the session with all products and services itemised.

Late payments will incur interest charges. Make Room UK reserves the right to adjust its rates; however, previously booked sessions will not be affected by these changes. We accept payments by cash or BACS using the bank details on your invoice.

SECTION 11 - DISPUTES

If you have any disputes regarding an invoice, kindly email us within 7 calendar days. Unresolved disputes after this period will be considered valid and undisputed.

SECTION 12 - INSURANCE

While we take utmost care with your possessions, we recommend ensuring that you have adequate insurance coverage for your belongings. Make Room UK cannot be held liable for any direct or consequential loss or damage.

SECTION 13 - PHOTOGRAPHY

We may capture anonymised before and after photos/videos to showcase our work on our website and social media platforms. We always seek your permission before using any
identifiable images.

These photographs and videos are the property of Make Room UK.

SECTION 14 - REFERRAL PROGRAM

If you have received a referral card from us, you can redeem the referral bonus after your friend's completed and paid their session. Feel free to enquire if you haven't received a referral card yet.

SECTION 15 - CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand that scheduling conflicts may arise. Rescheduled sessions can be accommodated within three months of the original date without any additional charges. If you decide to cancel after making a deposit and opt not to reschedule, your refund will be processed after deducting the equivalent of half a day’s work for each day of your project, along with purchased sourced items and the postage charges to send them to you. Please note that same-day cancellations may not be eligible for a refund, and rescheduled sessions are non-refundable. 

SECTION 16 - CONFIDENTIALITY & PRIVACY

Make Room UK highly values your privacy. We maintain complete confidentiality and discretion, never disclosing your information to third parties without your explicit consent. Our organisers are bound by confidentiality agreements, and your personal data is handled in strict accordance with our Privacy Policy. We adhere to all relevant legislation, ensuring the secure storage and usage of your personal details exclusively for the services provided by Make Room UK.

MR POINTS REWARDS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) govern Make Room MR Points (“Loyalty Program”), and members of the program will earn points in connection with the purchase of qualifying online products and online activities that are redeemable towards the purchase of certain offers online.

SECTION 1 - MEMBERSHIP

1 - Free Membership. No purchase necessary to obtain membership in the Make Room Loyalty Program but you must establish an account at www.makeroomuk.com/account/register. Please see our privacy policy, located here, to understand how information you provide us will be used. This program is void where prohibited.

2 - Eligibility. In order to be eligible for the MR Points Rewards Program, you must be located within the United Kingdom (excluding northern Ireland), create an account as outlined in these Terms and Conditions. You may create an account if you are at least sixteen (16) years of age, have Internet access, and have a valid mailing address. If you are between the ages of 13 and 16, you must have your parent’s permission to register for an account. If you choose to create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account, username and password and for restricting access to your account. You are responsible for keeping such information current, complete, accurate and truthful. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account, username and/or password. You agree to provide only current, complete, accurate and truthful information. If you are accessing and using the Site on someone else’s behalf, you represent that you have the authority to bind that person as the principal to all Terms and Conditions provided herein, and to the extent you do not have such authority you agree to be bound to these Terms and Conditions and to accept liability for harm caused by any wrongful use of the Site or Content resulting from such access or use. You may only have one member account per natural person. Persons who are discovered to have more than one account forfeit their points and will be unsubscribed from the MR Points Rewards Program.

3 - How To Enrol in Make Room Loyalty Program. Create an account: Visit www.makeroomuk.com/account/register and become a registered user. Click here to be taken directly to the registration page. You will be asked for your first and last name, your e-mail address, and a password. Singing up automatically subscribes you to our newsletter list, you have the option to opt out at anytime. Once you have submitted the requisite information, you will be sent an e-mail to the address you listed confirming your membership.

4 - How to Access/Change Your Member Information. You must keep your personal information on your Account up-to-date. To do so, click on the "My Account" section and access your account by entering your registered email address and current password. From your dashboard you can access your account information; review your current and past orders; change your profile; manage your subscriptions and applications; and access your previous purchases.

5 - How to Cancel Your Membership. You may cancel account at any time. To cancel your account, please send an email to hello@makeroomuk.co.uk and write “cancel membership” in the subject line. The email must come from the account currently listed on our servers as being associated with your Make Room Account. If you no longer have access to that email address, please email our customer service department and we will verify your status and cancel your account. Upon cancellation, you are no longer a member and any unused points accrued in your account will be forfeited and cannot be redeemed. Points maintain their value only on valid accounts in good standing, and except as otherwise provided here for redemption, have no cash value outside of their redemption value on the Site.

SECTION 2 - EARNING POINTS

1 - General Members can earn points on the purchase products at makeroomukcom. To receive points for your online purchases, you must be signed into your account. You may check at any time to see if you are signed in to the site by looking in the upper right hand corner of the site. You will not earn points for shipping fees.

2 - Earning Rate. Members will earn 5 points for every £1.00 spent on qualifying purchase (in other words, five (5) points for every one pound (£1) spent. You must be logged into the website to earn points. Points are based on your order subtotal, after any discounts. Points are rounded down to the nearest whole five. For example, if you spend £9.99, you will receive 45 points. Calculation is as follows: £9.99 x 5 points per pound = 49.95 points, which is rounded down to 45 points.

3 - Addition of Points to Accounts. Points will be added to your account under the following conditions, and will generally show up immediately.

points one time for the following actions:

• Creating an account
• For Liking the Make Room UK’s page
• Following Make Room UK on Instagram
• Follow Make Room Uk on Tik Tok.

You are eligible to receive
points multiple times for the following actions:

• Making purchases
• Referring a friend to Make Room UK. Points will be automatically rewarded to your account only if the referral friend used the link sent to them from your referral account and makes a qualifying purchase with the special code. Points will automatically be applied to account if stipulations are met.
• Sharing Make Room UK's profile on Facebook, Instagram or Tik Tok.
• Sharing products on, Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, Tik Tok (Up to twice per week)
• Birthday Points. Birthdate must be entered 30 days before your Birthday to qualify and you will only receive birthday points once every calendar year.
• For other activities outlined on the site that may show up from time to time. Note that for these other activities, including "bonus point" accumulations and other point promotions, points may show as "pending" depending upon the activity.
• Exclusions. Members earn points only on the purchase price of: (i) qualifying online products. Calculation of points excludes payment by the Member for shipping charges. Points will not be earned on any discounts or other credits offered in connection with a product or service. For example, if a product that is normally £50 is on sale for £25, a Member will only earn points on the purchase price of £25. All purchases made: (i) by a Member prior to such member joining the Program, (ii) Online without a Member being logged onto the Website, are not eligible for Make Room Points. Trade Program customers are not eligible for the loyalty program.
• Returns/Order Cancellations. Points earned for a purchase that is then the subject of a return, cancellation or declined credit card will be deducted from your account in an amount equal to the points earned for the original transaction. Points cannot be reapplied back to your rewards account for any reason on a returned order. If a return/cancellation will cause your account to have a negative point balance, you will not begin earning points again until your points balance is returned to zero (0), by making purchases, or engaging in other promotional activities offered from time to time. Rewards used on an order that is cancelled (before the item ships or a label has been printed) may request those rewards be applied back to your rewards account. If your item has begun the shipping process, rewards cannot be reapplied. 
• Bonus Point Promotions. From time to time, Make Room may run certain bonus point promotions. Under bonus point promotions, Members can earn additional or "bonus points" in connection with the purchase of certain online products. When you purchase these specially marked products, or make the purchase during a bonus points time period, you will earn bonus points on each product, as specified in the offer. Bonus point promotions are subject to the terms and conditions of the offer and may be offered at any time in Make Room's sole discretion. Bonus point offers cannot be combined with any other offer.
• Limitations on Points. If you redeem points towards the purchase of a product and pay a portion of the retail price after the point's redemption, you will receive points only on the leftover retail amount you pay, and not on any value attributed to the point you used. If you redeem points towards the purchase of a product in an amount equal to the full price of the product, you will not earn any points.
• Non-purchase Options for Earning Points. You may also earn additional points on non-purchase activities. From time to time, Make Room may offer you the chance to win various prizes, and earn points, for entering into promotions. For giveaway promotions, there is NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO PLAY OR TO WIN. Rules and restrictions will apply to such promotions and may be found on the entry page of any promotion.
• Referring a friend to Make Room. Email a friend a £5 off coupon by clicking “ Earn Points” then “ Refer a Friend”. Enter the email address of a friend who has not purchased with Make Room before (if your referral has shopped with us before the referral link will be automatically voided by the system). A referral link will be sent to your friend with a £5 off coupon (the coupon is valid on Make Room products only, this is not valid on marketplace products).  Points will automatically be rewarded to your account only if the referral friend used the link sent to them from your referral account and makes a qualifying first time purchase with Make Room. 500 Make Room points will automatically be applied to your account if stipulations are met. Your Referral friend will receive a £5 off coupon, 500 points for signing up to the MR Points Rewards program and points from their first purchase made while signed into their new Make Room account.

SECTION 3 - REDEEMING POINTS

1. How To Use Your Points. Points must be used in increments outlined in these Terms and Conditions. The minimum purchase for which points will apply is £10.00. Points may only be used Online at the makeroomuk.com. Points towards Products: Members can use their points to reduce the purchase price of a product or to receive a product for free based on the following scale: 100 points = £1.00 off / 500 points = £5.00 off / 1,000 points = £10.00 off 
2. Points can only be redeemed in any combination of the point and increment amounts set forth above. Redemption of points towards purchases of products is subject to product availability.  Any rewards discounts that are applied to the order, will be distributed equally to the applicable items in the order when completing a return. Any reward around discounts to items or £ OFF can only be applied to Products available at MakeRoomUK.com.
3. To Redeem your Points. Before you begin shopping with us, sign into your Make Room Rewards account. Select “Redeem Points” from the MR POINTS pop up. You will be issued a custom code that you can copy and paste into the discount bar during check out (Please note - only one code can be used). Your total payment amount will be discounted by the amount of points you allocate to the purchase. Note that points may only be redeemed for the purchase price of the product. Shipping fees are your responsibility and points may not be used to discount these additional charges. 
4. Exclusions. Only one account per natural person. Only one discount code can be redeemed per transaction. Rewards redemption codes may not be combined with any other discount codes. Points may not be transferred or gifted at this time. Points cannot be used on past purchases. Points accumulated on different accounts by different members may not be combined or aggregated to make purchases of products or for any other reason. Points earned in a transaction cannot be redeemed in the same transaction. Redeemed points cannot be retroactively applied to any past order or receive a price adjustment on any order where redeemed points were not applied. Points have no cash value outside of the makeroomuk.com website and are available only to members in good standing.
5. Points Expiration and Time Lapses. All points acquired, whether standard points or bonus points, currently have no expiry. Sign up: points are added to your account instantly. Order: points are added to your account when your order ships

SECTION 4 - GENERAL

By creating an account at makeroomuk.com and joining the MR Points Rewards Program, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth in these Terms and Conditions, as well as any other terms that may be associated with the MR Points Rewards Program. Make Room reserves the right to cancel, modify, suspend or restrict the MR Points Rewards Program, your account, the redemption of points, or any aspect of the Program, including, without limitation, the point conversion ratio and the point expiration policy at any time. Any changes can be made without advance notice. Make Room may make these changes even though such changes may affect your ability to use points already accumulated. You are responsible for remaining knowledgeable about the Program Terms and Conditions. A Member's points balance, as reflected in Make Room's records, shall be deemed correct. Make Room reserves the right to determine the amount of points in any Member's account based on Make Room's internal records related to such Member's account. In the event of an inconsistency between the amount accrued in a Member's account as stated on any Member's receipt and Make Room's internal records, Make Room's internal records will control. Make Room assumes no responsibility for errors caused by incorrect Member information. Your right to transfer points earned or granted under the Program is strictly limited. The sale of points is prohibited and may result in the confiscation or cancellation of your points as well as suspension or termination of your membership, which in each case shall be final and conclusive. All transactions involving points and all Member accounts are subject to review and verification by Make Room. The points balance in a Member's account may be unavailable for use when an account or transaction is under review. Make Room may revoke any Member's membership in the MR Points Rewards Program at any time if such Member engages in abuse of the MR Points Rewards Program or fails to follow the terms and conditions of the Program. Fraud or abuse relating to the accrual of points or redemption of rewards may result in revocation of membership in the Program and may affect a Member's eligibility for participation in any other Make Room program, present or future. Points are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. The interpretation and application of the Program's Terms and Conditions are at the sole discretion and determination of Make Room. The Terms and Conditions of our MR Points Rewards Program are subject to change at Make Room's sole discretion at any time and without notice to customers. Upon customer’s at-will termination of their makeroomuk.com registered account, or if a customer is termination for violation of these Terms and Conditions or other activities in violation of the intent and good faith intended use of this Site, all points will immediately be forfeited and will no longer be redeemable. Make Room will make reasonable efforts to award points as outlined above to all 1. registered and 2. qualifying makeroomuk.com customers, but is not responsible for any technical or unforeseen errors that may occur.

Points are non transferable, non redeemable for cash, are non refundable and are not valid outside of makeroomuk.com. Purchases made outside makeroomuk.com are not valid for point accrual (this includes, but is not limited to Facebook resell groups, Ebay, and Amazon).

Employees of Make Room are not eligible to participate in the MR Points Rewards Program.

MAKE ROOM TRADE PROGRAM

1. If you are a designer, home organiser or other tradesman in the interior industry, you can apply to join the Make Room Trade Programme by making a Make Room Account with your professional email address here and then contacting us with your business details here.
2. Membership to the program is subjective to approval and not activated until the application has been reviewed by a member of our team.
3. You will receive at 12% trade discount off the full price, on sale items you will receive a 5% trade discount on top of the sale price. These are applied automatically at the checkout.
4. Make Room will be on hand to help with in-depth product knowledge, product previews and advice.
5. If you require a large amount of product for a project we will keep you updated with lead times and help coordinate delivery of products.
6. Trade discounts can not be combined with any other discount or promotion.
7. Certain products may be excluded from the trade discount.
8. Members of the trade program are not able to be part of the Make Room loyalty program nor receive or use MR points on their purchases.
